Meet the Team
Dr. Jaques Zaneveld, Ph.D
Dr. Jacques Zaneveld is a professional scientist and entrepreneur. Half of his early life was spent on a boat in the South Pacific, while the other half was spent in Corvallis, Oregon. Traveling the world instilled him with a sense of wonder and curiosity that fuels his work to this day.
Trained as a scientist, Dr. Jacques Zaneveld has published numerous scientific papers, and obtained funding for his work from the National Eye Institute, National Library of Medicine, the CIBR center, and the National Science Foundation. Originally, 3D printing was a hobby, but he quickly realized its potential to revolutionize medicine and science.
Jacques founded Lazarus 3D to help scientists and clinicians by providing them with 3D printing tools and techniques.
Cheri Waddell
Cheri Waddell is the Vice President of Pre-Sure Products at Lazarus 3D, where she leads the strategy and growth of the company’s FDA-cleared Pre-Sure platform. Cheri partners with hospitals, healthcare administrators, and surgeons to implement patient-specific surgical rehearsal programs that enhance clinical preparedness, reduce risk, and improve surgical outcomes. With extensive experience in healthcare administration and operations, Cheri ensures a seamless experience for clinical partners, from onboarding through execution, while aligning Pre-Sure solutions with hospital goals and patient care priorities. She also leads initiatives that expand Pre-Sure’s impact on surgical excellence and establish a path for reimbursement, advancing Lazarus 3D’s mission to help surgeons operate with confidence.
Brian Patch
Brian Patch leads the operations for Lazarus 3D as the Chief Operating Officer. Brian has experience leading operations, project management and manufacturing for numerous bio-tech companies both domestically and internationally. At Lazarus 3D, Brian oversees production, design and business operations of the business where he leads his teams to drive efficiency and innovation to produce the highest quality 3D models.
Dr. Tyler Kelly, Ph.D.
Dr. Tyler Kelly, Ph.D. leads scientific and clinical research operations at Lazarus 3D, where he bridges the gap between surgeon insight and physical model development. He holds a PhD in Human Physiology from the University of Oregon, where his research focused on congenital heart defects and their impact on cardiopulmonary physiology.
At Lazarus 3D, Tyler oversees surgeon evaluation studies, coordinates with clinical collaborators at leading medical centers, and translates frontline surgical feedback into design requirements for patient-specific rehearsal models and procedural training platforms. His work spans study design, IRB coordination, and validation methodology, with the goal of ensuring that every model meaningfully reflects the realities of the operating room.
